I think we’re all grumpy on planet reality Andrew, worse than grumpy in fact. I can only thank you and others who are speaking out so publicly about the insanity that’s happening around us. I used to be a proud Guardian reader, now it just disgusts me.
Yes, read the article and just watched you in a grumpy mood on Heretics. Seems like lots of commenters love new grumpy Andrew..... so keep it up.
We out here in Punterland, absolutely adore you and loved seeing you run with it (but I hope that energised you and did not bring you down.)
They have to lie if they want to go against you because, as you say, you check your facts and speak your truth... and that is very easily seen from here.
Congratulations on your Florida gig, and hope you make great friends with Rufo and others. Thanks again, for your much needed and appreciated voice 🙏
What a great discussion, as always. You have inspired me to go back to read Milton and Mills again. I have Paradise Lose on my bookshelf but haven't read it since school. I think it will have a whole new meaning for me now.
Just one little correction I hope you won't mind me making. I am sure you just mis-spoke and know this but when you mentioned NCHIs, you said that these were non-crime incidents "motivated by hatred towards one of the protected characteristics: race, sex, whatever it might be..."
The five protected characteristics (aggravating factors) for hate crime and NCHIs are race, religion, disability, sexual orientation and transgender identity. "Sex" is, of course, notably absent.
I think a lot of us were put off Milton by being badly taught it at school. The nuns who taught me were rather more concerned to warn us not to be like the fallen angels.
I listened today while 🚴cycling 🚴 Great listen! I too was one who subscribed when I first heard you were heading to Substack. So happy you are here. Often I listen to Free Speech Nation while cycling on Monday mornings. (Canadian mountain time.)
I was looking for YouTube videos of your comedy acts, which I do love. They are far and few these days - you’re so incredibly busy. Bring your grumpy self to a comedy club again and cheer us up with a bit of your cheeky snark.
Wonderful to see the two Andrews together! Cheers!
Saying that Guardian piece was clutching at straws is giving them far too much credit. What a shocking piece of journalism, even for them. Talk about a non-news story.
I was inspired to find the Orwell essay ("Politics and the English language," for anyone interested). Very interesting. Some dated comments but so much of it so relevant. I plan to read more :)
And I echo the other in saying that a bit of Grumpy Andrew can be a delight to behold :)
Andrew, that was a wonderful listen. I so appreciate your erudition, your articulateness, and hearing your views on the crazy times we live in. I'm in NZ and it's the same here on a smaller scale. We've had a year of a coalition government that was largely voted in to get the other lot out (Labour, Ardern's crowd). Apart from the fact that hate speech laws were shelved, not too much else has changed...... and in past days the Dept of Immigration has refused Candace Owens a visa to enter the country on a speaking tour. My disbelief and disgust have felt explosive and I'm busy emailing the Minister and other MP's- much good that will achieve. The Free Speech Union are on to it, they do excellent work here as yours does in the UK. Not that I've ever listened to Owens past a few minutes of some YouTube clip. Now I'm checking her out big time 😄
Andrew, no wonder you're sometimes grumpy...... as you will have noted from the comments, aren't we all. You're doing a marvellous job speaking up and arguing so impressively. Keep it up, please. We can't do without you!

Brilliant, interview, Andrew! You are on fire when you are in a bad mood.

Always a pleasure Andrew, especially when you channel your inner Grinch! You were my gateway drug into Substack, keep up the great work 🙏
Marvellous stuff as usual Andrew, love you being grumpy ❤️

Did the nuns' warnings work?
😂 that would be telling

They didn't lie, they just told the version they wanted to be true
